Project Overview
The VCET National Students Data Corps (NSDC) portal is a custom-built community hub that manages Vidyavardhini College of Engineering & Technology's data science chapter. The portal drives public information outreach (events, teams, socials) and automates operations like team registrations, secure payment proof uploads, basic-auth admin check-ins, registration data exports, and student certificate downloads.
The Problem
Managing manual spreadsheets, verifying payment screenshot proofs, and emailing event certificates individually for hundreds of students created operational bottlenecks.
Our Solution
Designed a consolidated Next.js and MongoDB web portal. Students upload payment proofs directly (saved as base64 in MongoDB) and look up their digital certificates via email, while admins use basic auth to review entries and export clean Excel files.
Results & Business Impact
Successfully onboarded 1,200+ event registrations with zero administrative overhead and automated 100% of certificate lookup and distribution processes.
